Technology M&A advice

The technology sector has been a key area for DC Advisory Partners for well over two decades, and it is a sector where we have established a leading position in both public market and private company M&A advisory with more than 50 transactions completed since 2000.

We have over a dozen dedicated sector bankers across Europe, based out of London, Frankfurt, Paris, Madrid and Warsaw, as well as access to a network of associate offices in Scandinavia, we have extensive buy-side and sell-side experience acting for large and middle-market corporates, private equity firms and owner-managers. Software and IT services (including BPO and managed services) are two sub-sectors where we have particularly strong credentials, but the team has a breadth of experience across many sub-sectors including digital media, financial technology, telecoms services, and hardware/network infrastructure.

We have created a very effective platform to support cross-border deal flow in the technology market. Given our relationship with Daiwa Capital Markets, our clients have exclusive access to dedicated technology sector bankers in the US (both East and West Coasts) and across the Asia-Pacific region.  Over two-thirds of the European M&A mandates completed by DC Advisory Partners have involved international buyers.

The technology team works closely with the Financial Sponsors Coverage group to leverage excellent contacts within the private equity and venture capital communities; and with our Debt Advisory team on optimising capital structure or raising acquisition finance for our clients. Increasingly, we see clients looking at cross-sectoral consolidation opportunities and we work closely with DC Advisory Partners’ other industry practices in support services, financial services, media and online retail.
